Dragon boats and tiger prawns.

Yeah this is the week of strange titles. Today, on the advise of a friend, we went to watch the singapore dragon boat race at the Boat Quay area. And man, it was quite worth it.....although it was scorching hot, we had a great time. While I was clicking away, my husband had to patiently had to wait on me....so chweet of him. Here are some of my clicks....

And now, if you are wondering about the tiger prawns...well, after the tiring day we settled down in a river side restaurant to have lunch. And wow! it was good food, my hubby finally got to eat his jumbo burgers and me - my ceasar's salad with tiger prawns.

And in all, it was a day well spent, now back home am just winding down and getting ready for a tough week ahead.

The Aftermath.

And then again nature surprises with a glorious "made-to-order" morning....

Cant beat mother nature :) Loving every moment of all this heavenly glory.

Rain clouds...hot porridge and my imaginary hot samosas....

All of a sudden am in a blog-writing mood.....good its time i gave my blog its due. Just as I started this post, outside it started rumbling and the inevitable howling of the winds....it's rain time again. And I just love it.....its a great oppurtunity for me to click some cloud snaps. I really dont know why or how I started this cloud obsession, but I quite enjoy it. Below are some of the snaps I just clicked....

It has started pouring so bad I have had to close all the windows....and even before I could do that...the sofa is all wet! When it rains...it really rains here.

Am just sitting here having hot porridge (the instant one, of course) and imagining how great it would be if there was hot samosas and pudina chutney [mint chutney doesnt sound tasty enough :) ]....hmmmm

P.S: Have you noticed how the grass looks so much more greener after quick rain showers....

Frozen clocks....and human spirits

Time is definitely moving pretty fast, its already end of Novemeber and I somehow have this feeling am still in August.....! There are times when the day passes so quickly that I dont seem to remember what day of the week it is,or that I missed somebody's birthday until my loyal phone cries its heart out...!

The only "slow time" is possibly during my long train journey to my office...its about 45 mins but feels like eternity. But am thankful I have atleast that time for myself....to sit and think, to observe, to laugh about some funny things i see.

Its fun watching all those people in the train - most of them with their "am the busiest person in the world" body language, all those business suits and high heels, and of course all those ipods, iphones and mobiles wired to their ears.....each person is interesting in their own way. Sometimes i find myself looking at people and wondering what's going on through their minds at that moment...are they thinking like me, judging me...may be or may be not.

Human nature....so diverse...so interesting....................so scary at times.
